NYE sorted by 63336

Having decided where he wanted to go for New Year's Eve, the only problem Paul had was that he couldn't find how to get there, or where to stay! Into the breach steps 63336:

"I finally decided where I wanted to go for New Years Eve... the ever so messy AMSTERDAM! One problem... it's December and nearly every single hotel is either fully booked, way over my budget or so far away from the centre that I may as well stay at home. This did not fill me with joy and to make things worse the flights were extortionate!

Anyway, after hours of searching the net I decided to text 63336: "is there a hotel within my budget in the centre of town" and believe it or not they managed to find me one and text back the telephone number and address!

If you think that was good, I texted back again asking were there any flights in my price range and was not greeted with just a no… but they gave me an alternative telling me that there was a coach service that could get me there for a bargain price.

Long story short 63336 has made my new year and I have a very hectic new year to look forward too! THANK YOU 63336!"

Glad to have helped Paul, and trust that you had a great NYE. We've also got a few runners up stories this month, Jo and Claire, where 63336's come in handy on holidays or days out. Both win copies of the latest 63336 book.

63336 sends us to the beach and helps us discover Malaysia, by Jo

"A few months back I texted 63336 asking where I could go that was near Singapore, but a bit different and within driving distance. I got the answer back Port Dickson in Malaysia. I'd never even heard of the place, but after a bit of research and a hotel booking I was set.

I got back home on Monday and I just wanted to say a really big thank you for such a great suggestion! It was close enough for us to visit Kuala Lumpur, have a beach holiday and see some rural Malay living. It was also a fraction of the cost of Singapore which was a big bonus! Thanks 63336"

63336 gets you to surfing, by Claire

"My friend Jess and I had set off in my car to drive for Cornwall. We're both pretty hooked on surfing and it was due to be flat on the North East Coast where we live. In anticipation of fun and adventure we set off in the night to avoid the traffic, only to find that once past Birmingham, the gear box on my car had broken. Our idea of an adventurous surfing weekend away seemed to fading as we waited at Birmingham services for the AA recovery truck to come and collect us. We had no option but to get towed back up to Teesside and decide from there, what we were going to do.

We eventually arrived back in Teesside at approx 10.30am the next morning (Friday), (remember recover trucks can only drive 50mph), with very little sleep.

So here we are, back in our home town, feeling deflated, would we be mad to set off again in Jess's car!?! 63336 to the rescue: "set off in the other car. It is still early in the day and you will have a fantastic time. If you go home, you will regret a day in the surf."

Spurred on, we packed up the other car, and set off once again for the South West, not really expecting to be able to make it all that way down, but we did. Later that evening we arrived in North Devon and got up on the Saturday for a good surf.

We had a fab weekend, and met up with friends, made new ones, seen places we'd not been to before and were grateful that with thanks to 63336, we persisted with our journey.

To top it off we had food on Pennanproth beach and enjoyed the sunset (see right) before we set off on our journey home."
